Reporter takes home awards

The United Methodist Reporter has received five Best of Division awards from the United Methodist Association of Communicators at a luncheon today:

1. Publications--Best National Newspaper

2. Visual Design (Kristin Del Mul's "Something's Brewing" brochure for 2007 UMR Editors Conference)

3. News Writing (Robin Russell's "Silent Witness" article on the protest at the 2008 General Conference over the decision to uphold the traditional stance on homosexuality.

4. Feature Writing (Mary Jacobs' July story "Does Satan Really Exist?")

5. Internet Blog (Robin Russell's play-by-play posts in July on the 2008 jurisdictional episcopal elections)
